Garmin

Garmin is turning data into action.

The latest: The wearable maker acquired TrainingPeaks and TrainHeroic, bringing leading endurance and strength training platforms into its fitness ecosystem. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Stack up. The move connects Garmin’s wearables with structured training plans, coaching, and performance analytics — turning health data into personalized guidance. As hardware commoditizes, actionable insights are a competitive advantage.

Built-in. Already integrated with Garmin devices, both platforms help millions of athletes and coaches create, deliver, and analyze training programs. Bringing them in house enhances Garmin’s ecosystem, keeping users engaged while upselling to premium services.

Full circle. The acquisition follows Garmin’s launch of the screenless CIRQA Smart Band. Combined with AI coaching, health insights, and hardware lineup, Garmin is assembling a full-stack platform spanning devices, software, and coaching.

Punchline: From wearables to coaching, Garmin is adding features for endurance athletes while expanding into strength training and everyday wellness.
