Lightwork is taking on a different housing crisis.
What’s happening: The home health testing company acquired Universe Health, a leading UK-based provider of residential toxin assessments.
House call. Factoring in health history and lifestyle, Lightwork Home Health tests air and water quality, EMF exposure, lighting, mold, and other pollutants. Tapping spatial mapping to pinpoint toxic burden, it acts as a concierge for remediation services.
Scaling across NYC, Austin, SF, and LA since debuting last year, it’ll add Universe Health’s London operations while deepening referral networks with longevity clinics.
Site unseen. From chemicals in drinking water to noxious air particles, our built environment harbors unconsidered health threats, but Lightwork co-founder Andy Bromberg suggests that’s changing:
“We’re seeing accelerating demand from customers who want objective data on their home environment and exactly how to address it.”
Connecting toxin exposure to health outcomes, ambient wellness is going mainstream, with Goodhome’s tests becoming HSA/FSA eligible, MoldCo scaling personal protocols, and Ultrahuman’s Home device set for integration with its blood tests.
Punchline: Pollution is deadly, and our homes aren’t always a refuge. With awareness up and outdoor time down, the great detoxification has begun.
