ATEAM today announced the launch of its digital app, an application-based membership uniting a community dedicated to wellness and mindful living. Lifestyle optimization has transformed how people think about movement, nutrition, sleep and longevity, yet relationships are often left out of the conversation. ATEAM brings connection into that equation, creating a platform for people who see how they live as an important part of who they choose to meet.
Co-founded by husband-and-wife team Dan Ilani and Megan Baldwin, ATEAM is a platform for deliberate connection, with an intentionally limited format that discourages endless swiping, ghosting and match collecting. Instead, ATEAM encourages members to be more considerate about who they engage with and more decisive about taking the next step.
“Dating apps have become very good at keeping people on dating apps,” says Dan Ilani, Founder of ATEAM. “We created ATEAM to do something different: help people connect around shared values and give them a reason to meet in real life.”
DESIGNED FOR MEANINGFUL CONNECTION
Wellness technology has made remarkable strides in personalizing the individual experience, providing consumers with tailored regimens, solo workouts and screen-based accountability. ATEAM operates on the premise that technology is most powerful when it facilitates human connection, not replaces it.
Built without a traditional “like” button, daily use on the app is capped at 11 minutes, and members are limited to five open conversations at a time. To meet someone new, users must first close the loop on existing conversations. These intentional features are designed to curb the endless swiping, ghosting and match hoarding that have come to define many traditional dating apps.
ATEAM’S GROWING WELLNESS COMMUNITY
Following the brand’s launch in New York this spring, ATEAM has grown a waitlist of more than 10,000 people while building a community through its real-world-first model. From studio partnerships to social and wellness events, more than 2,000 people have attended ATEAM’s in-person programming.
The brand launched its ongoing Date Night Series in partnership with more than 15 leading fitness and wellness communities across New York City, including AARMY, Brooklyn Track Club, Fuze House, Gotham Boxing, SoulCycle, The Yard and more. The Date Night Series was designed to redefine what a first date looks like – starting with movement, rather than small talk.
ATEAM brought that same philosophy to the Hamptons this summer, hosting a summer-long wellness series of beachside workouts, recovery sessions and community building alongside partners including Diplo’s Run Club, adidas, Life Time, Barry’s, SoulCycle, The Surf Lodge, Gurney’s and La Fermière.
“We’ve seen how naturally people connect when they begin with something they already care about,” says Ilani. “The app allows us to scale that experience to the thousands of people who have been waiting to join ATEAM.”
ATEAM will expand its in-person footprint beyond New York, with programming planned across West Palm Beach, Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas and Austin, fostering community through movement and connection in some of the country’s key fitness, wellness and lifestyle markets.
ATEAM is a private, application-based dating community bringing together people through shared values around health, lifestyle and intentional living. Through its digital platform and real-world programming, ATEAM creates more considered ways for members to meet and form meaningful relationships.
The company is rooted in an existing health and fitness ecosystem and shaped by a founding committee across fitness, wellness, and culture, creating a high trust, high quality membership by design.
The ATEAM app is available to download today on iOS via the App Store. To learn more, visit https://www.ateam.co/.
