Pilates studios are stretching out.
The latest: Holmes Place Brands is expanding reformer studio concept PILAT3S in Europe, debuting its first standalone club in De Pijp, Amsterdam, with a second planned for Porto, Portugal.
Intro’d this year within Amsterdam’s Clubsportive, the brand has scaled to Spain, Portugal, Panama, and the UAE through franchising and co-locating with sister brand TRIB3.
Eyeing ten global studios by 2025, Germany, Austria, and Ireland could be next on the agenda.
Reformer race. The $158B global yoga and Pilates market is stoking growth.
- Following its UK debut, Club Pilates will enter Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands.
- Counting 32 sites across Australia, Qatar, Thailand, America, and the UK, F45 Training’s FS8 is targeting 50 European studios in five years.
- Australia’s KX Pilates and STRONG Pilates will open in Japan, with the latter also moving on South Korea, the Middle East, and the US.
Part of the club, the UK’s Virgin Active and 1Rebel, Australia’s One Playground, and the UAE’s GymNation are all upgrading their Pilates offerings.
Looking ahead: As popularity soars, Pilates studios are seizing global demand. Just getting started, PILAT3S will ride its hybrid business model to new territory.
