ClassPass is upping its snack game.

What’s happening: The health & fitness booking marketplace added food and beverage partners to its platform.

Kicking off in NYC and Miami, ClassPass users can now redeem credits for healthy snacks and meals at participating eateries like Springbone Kitchen, Avo, and Dr Smood.

One-stop shop. Since being acquired by Mindbody in 2021, the company has expressed intent to broaden its services. Adding F&B alongside fitness, salon, and self-care, it’s positioning as an all-in-one checkout for a healthy lifestyle.

Checking In

As wellness spending surges, software platforms are scaling up.

  • In 2021, PE firm Advent International created Xplor, merging the booking software of Mariana Tek, admin solutions zingfit and Triib, and PT app TrueCoach.
  • Thoma Bravo-backed ABC Fitness acquired coaching app Trainerize in 2020 and European studio management platform Glofox in 2022.
  • In spa and self-care, booking platforms Boulevard, GlossGenius, fresha, and Vagaro are taking on funding while adding medspa, mental health, and TCM services.

Meanwhile, tapping employers to compete, Gympass and Germany’s Urban Sports Club both scored massive funding rounds last year.

Punchline: Better-for-you restaurants and fitness studios have always profited off mutual proximity. But by streamlining to the same OS, booking platforms are unlocking an even bigger cut of wellness budget.
