Digital health companies are finding new ways to turn consumer engagement into ongoing care.

Neko Health is expanding stateside

The Swedish preventative health company is opening its first US clinic in New York’s SoHo on September 24.

  • Amassing a 25K-person waitlist, the company is entering Miami next, followed by  planned locations in San Francisco and Washington, DC.
  • Scaling up, Neko has raised $700M and hired Amazon Health’s former medical chief to support its US expansion.

As more Americans are skipping routine care because of cost and access, Neko is betting that consumers will pay directly for a faster, more comprehensive proactive health assessment.

Happy Health is turning its smart ring into a clinical platform

The company raised $75M as it expands its AI-enabled continuous care model.

  • Happy started as a mood-tracking wearable but has moved into regulated medical applications.
  • Its ring has FDA clearance and authorization to diagnose sleep conditions including sleep apnea, insomnia, and snoring.
  • Through its insurance-backed Happy Sleep platform, users can receive a diagnosis within five days and be routed toward physician-prescribed treatment.

Looking beyond sleep, the company is exploring how physiological data collected by the ring could support physician-guided care for areas including obesity and hypertension.

WNBA star Aliyah Boston teams up with Sequel

Boston will receive equity in the menstrual care startup in exchange for content and marketing work, making this her first active equity partnership with a company.

  • Sequel was founded by former athletes and Stanford engineers, raising $8M+ while building partnerships with the Indiana Fever, Yankee Stadium, and Audi Field.
  • The company has taken a different route to distribution, using IRL activations and community-driven TikTok Shop content instead of relying primarily on traditional retail.

Already a Sequel customer, Boston initiated the partnership herself. With more than 600K social followers and a role in women’s sports beyond the court, she brings both distribution and credibility with the consumer Sequel is trying to reach.
