Equinox has a new vision for wellness travel.
What’s happening: The premium fitness operator opened a luxury resort on Saudi Arabian’s Red Sea coast, with broader expansion underway.
Performance stay. Built with Red Sea Group’s AMAALA megaproject, the property anchors Triple Bay’s luxury wellness hub while extending Equinox’s high-performance ethos beyond the gym.
The resort features 128 circadian health-aligned guest rooms and 21 Equinox-branded residences, plus a 20K-sq-ft fitness club, rooftop magnesium pool, four nutrition-focused dining venues, and a seven-circuit longevity-focused spa.
Tightrope. Evolving from premium gym operator to full-service hospitality brand, Equinox is targeting 33 new hotels in 10 years, with rumored projects in Texas, California, and Hawaii.
All access, CEO Chris Norton envisions a connected network of properties, where key outposts like NYC become gateways to destinations like AMAALA and recently announced Equinox Resort Anguilla Port Nimara.
But with rising geopolitical tension in the region and capital markets still cautious, expansion could test investor appetite and consumer demand.
Punchline: Channeling travel-as-lifestyle, Equinox is building a Soho House-like ecosystem for members who want performance-coded, luxury experiences.
