Brain-computer interfaces are moving beyond the lab.

What’s happening: Neurable raised $35M to launch brain-sensing headphones and scale its brain-computer interface (BCI) platform.

Brain blast. Using EEG-equipped headphones, Neurable detects focus, mental fatigue, and recovery in real time while providing daily brain age and speed reports — with two-thirds of users noting immediate cognitive improvements.

Beyond passive measurement, Neurable is expanding into active cognitive training. Its platform includes a mind-controlled game and acuity exercises designed to improve attention, calm, and quickness — reinforcing its performance-first positioning.

Matter of time. With fresh funding, Neurable plans to expand its reach in gaming and esports, honing reaction time and mental endurance.

At the same time, it’s laying clinical groundwork, partnering with behavioral research firm iMotions. Gaining high-quality neural data, Neurable will pursue diagnostic and treatment pathways for depression, Alzheimer’s, and more.

Looking ahead: While Synchron and Elon Musk’s Neuralink reach billion-dollar valuations for implantable BCIs, noninvasive EEG tech is making everyday neurofeedback actionable — with the ability to flag cognitive illnesses on the horizon.
