Origin is leading the pelvic floor movement.
What’s happening: The specialized PT clinic secured an undisclosed Series B to scale access to pelvic floor therapy and musculoskeletal rehab offerings nationwide.
The model. Launched in 2020, Origin operates 19 clinics and a virtual platform offering insurance-covered care for pelvic floor dysfunction, postpartum abdominal conditions, and other MSK issues. The company combines 45-minute visits—online and IRL—with individualized programs and education for affordable and seamless treatment.
With the raise, it’ll expand its footprint, amplify virtual offering, and invest in AI tools to further personalize care. Focused on growth, Origin co-founder and CEO Carine Carmy said:
“We’ve shifted pelvic floor therapy from niche to norm. This new round of funding will enable us to move it from norm to non-negotiable.”
On the rise. Underdiscussed, pelvic floor dysfunction is on the rise — affecting up to 50% of women and 1 in 6 men. As the once-taboo topic goes mainstream, patients are actively seeking solutions, exposing gaps in traditional care. Leaning in, new treatment options—spanning IRL clinics, virtual platforms, and at-home devices—are emerging to meet demand.
Looking ahead: As awareness for pelvic floor dysfunction grows, both men and women will demand intervention, and Origin is positioned to become a leader in accessible care.
