Bloodwork is the new step count.
The latest. Smart ring maker Oura unveiled Health Panels, a new feature that lets members book blood tests through Quest Diagnostics and review results inside its app.
Priced at $99, Oura’s panel tracks 50 markers across cardiovascular and metabolic health, including HbA1C, LDL cholesterol, ApoB, liver, and kidney function.
Decoded. Aiding interpretation, Oura’s AI Advisor contextualizes results alongside sleep and activity data to recommend actions. Moving from passive tracking to proactive health management, users can ask Advisor to explain each biomarker.
Level up. Diagnostics are becoming table stakes, and wearable makers are racing to the lab.
CGM platform Levels and WHOOP offer similar Quest integrations, while Ultrahuman layered AI analysis on Blood Vision, with plans to add MRI and CT scan analysis. In development, Apple’s Health app syncs with leading diagnostics centers, but its forthcoming “AI doctor” could streamline bloodwork.
Punchline: With Quest and Labcorp gatekeeping access, wearable makers are stacking diagnostics to deliver deeper insights and lock users into their ecosystems.
