1Rebel is raising the bar.
What’s happening: The UK-based “boutique gym” will add clubs in London’s Chelsea, Euston, and Kensington Olympia this year, with two more planned over the next 12 months.
Elevating its model, sites will all adopt reimagined spaces for signature HIIT and reformer Pilates classes.
Bulking season. Upgrades to its 10-club estate also include high-spec lighting and acoustics, elevated changing and reception areas, and new social spaces.
Building on the success of recovery concept Reset at High Street Kensington and Holborn clubs, Euston will introduce an outdoor offering with Brass Monkey ice baths and a Nordic sauna.
Build-out. Globally, operators are elevating the member experience.
- F45 is retrofitting locations with cold plunges, infrared saunas, and massage guns.
- London rival Third Space is prepping a “mega gym” blending multi-functional training spaces and studios with hydro pools, Himalayan salt saunas, and cryotherapy.
- One Playground’s “superboutiques” feature private infrared saunas and ice baths, small-class reformer sessions, and immersive group fitness studios.
Looking ahead: Offering members more ways to perform, recover, and reset, 1Rebel and others are pivoting to keep pace with holistic-minded exercisers.
