The booking wars rage on.

What’s happening: Fitness booking platform Xplor Technologies merged with club management SaaS Clubessential Holdings.

Two’s company. Serving fitness, wellness, childcare, and field services partners worldwide, Xplor processed $37B in payments last year.

Meanwhile, Clubessential notched $255M in annual revenue across its brands, from Momence for boutiques to ForeUp for golf courses and RecDesk for parks departments.

Combining forces, the pair will serve 130K customers, processing $47B in annual payments and generating $900M in revenue.

The club. As gym memberships surge, club management software is in demand. Targeting fitness, ABC Fitness teamed with EGYM to capture corporate wellness, while Arketa, Hapana, and Gymdesk raised funding to unlock studio revenue.

Expanding with the medspa and beauty boom, Zenoti entered fitness earlier this year. Casting a wider net, Mindbody ClassPass reorganized as Playlist to serve the experience economy.

Looking ahead: From member sign-up and payment to retention, the growing exercise economy is benefiting the booking platforms — and fueling consolidation.
