Arketa Secures $15M for Customizable Booking Platform

Next-gen booking wars.

Arketa is giving studios the business.

What’s happening: The boutique studio management platform closed a $15M Series A led by Inspired Capital to scale AI tools.

Special op. Managing class booking and marketing while white-labeling branded apps, Arketa’s customizable platform bolsters studio economics.

Handling $500M in transactions for 1K+ clients across Pilates, yoga, and wellness, it added features to unlock revenue streams like digital content and retreats. With new funding, it’ll enhance its admin-reducing AI assistant.

Underdogs. Fitness industry booking giants are getting bigger, with Mindbody-ClassPass exploring an IPO under new parent brand Playlist, and ABC Fitness integrating with EGYM.

At the same time, nimble upstarts are gaining ground, winning customers on experiences personalized to smaller studios’ needs, with PushPress, Gymdesk, and Hapana scoring funding.

Taking notice, Clubessential Holdings acquired AI-powered platform Momence in February.

Punchline: As mega-platforms accommodate the ever-growing stacks of fitness supergroups, Arketa and others are ensuring no one’s left behind.
