FitLab is betting on bold experiences.
What’s happening: The integrated wellness company acquired Y7 Studio, a nine-studio yoga chain in NYC, LA, and Austin.
Heating up. Born in Brooklyn, Y7’s infrared-heated, music-driven, candlelit yoga classes achieved cult-like status, fueling expansion.
FitLab co-CEO Brian Kirkbride believes it’s a complementary piece to its growing portfolio:
“Y7’s innovative approach embodies what FitLab is all about: bold, disruptive brands that resonate deeply with today’s consumers and encourage a greater focus on well-being.”
Along with adding new locations, FitLab plans to bundle Y7 with a forthcoming all-access membership across its IRL fitness brands.
Collective soul. Inspiring movement, FitLab’s collective spans studios, events, and equipment.
- Last year, it acquired equipment brands Assault Fitness and RPM Training.
- It partnered with Nike to launch the apparel giant’s debut fitness studios.
- It’s readying XPT, a performance wellness studio from Laird Hamilton.
Simultaneously scaling strength studio Racked, HIIT boutique Sanctuary Fitness, and race series Ragnar, FitLab is doubling down on an interconnected user experience.
Looking ahead: Mixing intensity, mindfulness, and top training tools, FitLab has supergroup aspirations built to scale with an evolving wellness consumer.
