Peloton Pilots Dedicated Strength+ App

Peloton

Peloton is hitting the weights.

Power move. The company just unveiled Strength+, a dedicated strength training app.

Still in beta, the platform features:

  • Strength programs and equipment tutorials led by Peloton coaches
  • A workout generator with customizable goals
  • Progress tracking to record effort and achievements

Big lift. An evolution from last fall’s Peloton Gym, Strength+ is designed for users who train at a club – signaling a shift away from home workouts centered around the brand’s equipment.

With demand for holistic health at an all-time high, personalized experiences focused on wellness, nutrition, and 1:1 coaching could be next as Peloton turns the page.

Hitting the Weights

As operators like Planet Fitness and Crunch Fitness prioritize strength areas over cardio equipment, digital coaches are making weight training more accessible.

In wearables, WHOOP’s Strength Trainer quantifies muscular load, Garmin crafts cross-training for runners, and Amazfit linked with HYROX for progress tracking.

Bringing pocket PTs to the gym, “fitness stacking” is the new normal. Filling a void, Future, Fitbod, Ladder, and obé Fitness enable go-anywhere strength workouts.

Leveraging AI, Anytime Fitness added a training app with Apple Fitness+ tie-ins, while Life Time tapped Microsoft to pilot a digital gym companion.

Punchline: Enhancing fitness, mental health, and longevity, strength sells — and solutions that can give lifters a spot stand to gain.
