Viome is tackling the next step.
What’s happening: The preventative health company acquired therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) platform Circulate Health, connecting insight to intervention.
All action. Founded on gut microbiome testing kits, Viome pairs molecular diagnostics with precision nutrition to develop preventative systems for aging, chronic diseases, and cancer.
Investing in infrastructure for its n-of-1 approach, it partnered with Los Alamos National Laboratory for proprietary RNA sequencing and Microsoft Azure to contextualize results and coach improvement — advancing longevity medicine with repeatable protocols.
Detox. Linked to anti-aging, Circulate is the nation’s largest provider of TPE, equipping clinics to remove microplastics and other toxins from the bloodstream. Merging operations into new division Viome Pro, Viome will advance data-led care delivery for 200+ clinics nationwide.
All action. While blood testing startups add panels and scan clinics replace checkups, preventative consumer health is still missing the treatment layer. Viome founder & CEO Naveen Jain sees the future of medicine as not just surfacing issues but “widening what a clinician can actually do with the information.”
Punchline: Consumers have a wealth of data and endless hurdles to jump over to make use of it. Viome wants to put DTC testing and treatment in the same clinical workflow.
