Gold’s Gym wants to be HYROX HQ.
What’s happening: The RSG Group-operated gym chain will open the first HYROX-affiliated training facility on US soil within a Dallas-area club.
Big business. Growing exponentially, Europe-born HYROX’s fitness race series will eclipse 1M worldwide participants next year.
While the majority of its revenue comes from entrance fees, it’s building the infrastructure to go from spectacle to lifestyle, including digital content and cobranded equipment with Centr.
Strengthening its affiliate network of training providers, HYROX debuted a dedicated Performance Center flagship in Berlin last year, with an in-club design available to partners.
Hot ticket. HYROX training is a growth driver for fitness businesses, with F45 and PureGym using training programs to attract new members.
With official equipment and standardized specifications, club-in-club Performance Centers will become a major draw. Sensing the advantage, GymNation locked down territory rights for the Middle East.
Looking ahead: Germany-based RSG Group calls the US debut a “first step.” With 200+ Gold’s Gym locations in the US and 700 worldwide, it’ll seek to rally HYROX aficionados far and wide.
