The Method is scaling beyond boutique fitness.
What’s happening: The UK-born operator added studios in Paris and London, while unveiling The Club — a holistic health hub in London’s Notting Hill.
Cross-training. Expanding its footprint to four, The Method’s first flagship marks a shift from fitness-only to full-spec wellness spaces, uniting performance, recovery, and community. Lifestyle-led, social lounges, café space, and a terrace complement The Club’s group fitness studios, saunas, and ice baths.
Scaled down, Studio R, a tower and reformer Pilates concept in London’s Westbourne Grove, and recently opened Studio Trocadéro, a multi-modality space with contrast therapy and café in central Paris, offer signature workouts with premium perks.
Balancing act. Thinking globally, it’s prepping a five-floor flagship in NYC alongside standalone studios — a shared ecosystem approach it’s perfecting in London.
Establishing third spaces, the boutique fitness industry is thinking bigger, with Everything Gyms, superboutiques, and hybrid and mega-facilities taking shape. With big-box gyms layering in amenities, ability to build highly engaged communities will define the next era.
Punchline: As operators across categories adopt a more integrated approach, The Method’s mix-and-match format—and amenities—will fuel growth.
